SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY
Parenting a child with disabilities can be challenging, to say the least. Navigating the complex world of IDEA and FAPE takes someone that is knowledgeable about the laws and rights that children are entitled to in public schools. As parents, we want to make sure that our children are getting the support that they need to be successful and to have access to a quality education.
I can help if you have questions concerning your child's academic progress, assessments and the IEP process, the 504 process, program development, behavior supports, alternative placements, IDEA compliance or any other aspect of special education services. Your child has specific rights if they have a mental health or behavioral disorder that is impeding their academic progress.
Is your child receiving appropriate services? Let me help you.
I will review each case on an individual basis, research facts and information that
supports and documents your child's history as a special education child, explain your legal rights while empowering you to advocate for your child and finally, prepare, assist, and accompany you to IEP meetings and mediations.
